Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses Weblooks, and to every website, page, file, asset, and other content created, stored, published, hosted, or served through the Service ("Customer Content").

It is a separate document so that we can update the list of prohibited and restricted activities as abuse patterns change, without amending the Terms themselves. Material changes are notified as described in section 9.

1. You are responsible for what you publish

Weblooks is a tool. You decide what to build with it and what to publish.

• You are solely responsible for Customer Content, for the websites you create, and for the lawfulness of everything you publish through the Service.
• We do not create, review, approve, monitor, verify, or endorse Customer Content. We have no general obligation to monitor what our users publish, and we do not undertake one by operating the Service, by providing automated checks, or by acting on a report.
• Our automated checks are advisory. Accessibility, metadata, structured data, GDPR, and launch-readiness checks help you find problems. They are not a certification, an audit, a legal opinion, or a guarantee of compliance with any law or standard. A passing check is not a defence.
• You are responsible for compliance in every jurisdiction you target. Publishing a website makes it reachable from many countries. Determining which laws apply to your site, your sector, and your audience — and complying with them — is your responsibility, not ours.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not use the Service to create, store, publish, host, distribute, or link to content that:

Is unlawful or facilitates serious harm

• child sexual abuse material, or any sexualised depiction of a minor
• terrorist content, or content that incites, promotes, or provides instruction for terrorism or violent extremism
• content that incites or threatens violence against a person or group
• content that harasses, stalks, bullies, or intimidates a person, or that constitutes hate speech against a protected characteristic
• non-consensual intimate imagery, or content published to humiliate or expose a person
• human trafficking, forced labour, or the sale of persons or human organs

Infringes rights

• infringes copyright, trademark, patent, trade-secret, database, design, publicity, privacy, or other rights
• counterfeit goods, pirated content, or tools for circumventing technical protection measures

Is deceptive or fraudulent

• fraud, scams, phishing, or credential harvesting
• impersonation of a person, business, brand, or public authority
• fake reviews, fake credentials, fake endorsements, or fabricated news presented as genuine
• pyramid or Ponzi schemes; "get rich quick" and similar deceptive financial offers
• deceptive interfaces designed to trick users into consenting, subscribing, or paying

Is technically harmful

• malware, ransomware, spyware, cryptominers, or malicious scripts
• botnet command-and-control, phishing kits, exploit kits, or stolen credentials and data
• content designed to disrupt, degrade, or gain unauthorised access to any system

Otherwise

• content unlawful in a jurisdiction where you make it available
• content prohibited by an applicable third-party provider whose service you connect through Weblooks

These prohibitions are absolute. No licence, disclosure, consent flow, or age gate makes them acceptable.

3. Regulated and restricted categories

Some sectors are lawful in some places and unlawful, licensed, or heavily restricted in others. Weblooks does not permit or prohibit these categories in the abstract, and we do not assess your compliance. If you operate in one of them, you may use Weblooks only if you meet the requirements in section 4, and you alone bear responsibility for lawfulness in every jurisdiction where your site is available.

4. Requirements if you operate in a restricted category

If any part of your site falls into section 3, you represent and warrant on an ongoing basis that:

1. You hold every licence, registration, permit, and authorisation required for your activity in each jurisdiction where you offer it, and they are current. 2. You comply with all applicable regional law — including sector rules on sale, supply, promotion, labelling, health and therapeutic claims, pricing, distance selling, cooling-off, and consumer protection. 3. You restrict access where the law requires it. Where a jurisdiction requires age verification, geo-blocking, or similar controls, you implement them yourself. Weblooks does not provide age verification or geo-restriction and does not perform these checks for you. 4. You meet advertising and marketing restrictions applicable to your sector, including any prohibition on advertising to minors and any mandatory warnings or disclosures. 5. You do not sell or supply to persons below the applicable minimum age, and you do not make your offering available in jurisdictions where it is prohibited. 6. You display required legal notices — including trader identity, licence numbers, health warnings, and terms — where the law requires them. 7. You will provide evidence of the above on request within a reasonable period, where we are required to verify it or receive a credible complaint.

If you cannot meet these requirements for a jurisdiction, you must not make that part of your site available there.

We may decline to serve, may suspend, or may require you to move to your own infrastructure, any site in these categories at our discretion — including because of a payment provider, infrastructure provider, or registrar requirement, or a change in law. This is a hosting decision, not a legal assessment of your business.

5. Prohibited technical use

You must not:

• probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without our prior written authorisation
• bypass authentication, authorisation, rate limits, quotas, or usage restrictions
• access accounts, projects, data, or systems you have not been granted access to
• scrape or harvest data from the Service without authorisation
• send unsolicited bulk email or messages using, or referencing, the Service
• use the Service to attack, overload, or disrupt any third party
• resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as your own end-client work under your account
• use staging environments as production hosting or as a general-purpose file host or CDN

6. Weblooks-hosted staging

Sites we host on Weblooks-managed staging domains carry additional conditions:

• Staging is for review and pre-launch use. It is not a production hosting product, carries no uptime commitment, and is served with a no-index directive so search engines do not list it.
• We may impose reasonable storage, bandwidth, and request limits.
• Because we serve this content from our own infrastructure and under our own domain, we apply this AUP to it directly and may disable serving for a project — which is reversible — as our first enforcement step.

Content published to your own domain or your own infrastructure remains subject to this AUP for as long as you use the Service to create or manage it.

7. Reporting abuse or illegal content

Anyone — user or not — may report content on a Weblooks-hosted site.

To let us act quickly, please include:

• the URL(s) concerned
• what is wrong, and why you believe it is illegal or breaches this Policy
• the legal basis, where you are alleging illegality
• your name and contact email (not required for reports of child sexual abuse material)
• a statement that your report is accurate and made in good faith

Rights-holders reporting copyright or trademark infringement should also identify the work concerned and confirm authority to act for the rights-holder.

We handle reports as described in the Terms of Service section 12, which sets out our notice-and-action process, the statement of reasons we give when we restrict content, and how to appeal.

8. Enforcement

Where we determine that content or conduct breaches this Policy, we may take one or more of the following steps, proportionate to the breach:

• ask you to correct the problem within a stated period
• disable serving for the affected project, or remove or disable access to specific content
• suspend or restrict an account or workspace
• terminate the agreement
• report to a competent authority where required or where there is a risk to life or safety

Except where the law prohibits it, where doing so would frustrate an investigation, or where there is a risk to life or safety, we will tell you what we did, why, and how to appeal. See Terms of Service section 12.

Suspected child sexual abuse material is removed immediately and reported to the competent authorities. There is no appeal step before removal.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. If a change materially reduces what you are permitted to do, we will give notice by the website, the Service, or email before it takes effect, except where an immediate change is required by law or to address a serious risk.
